The Babu's a big I Allan Sealy fan, but has to admit that Brain Fever Bird left him admiring, but not engaged. The novel--Sealy's fourth--is a cut above anything that the IWE (see post for May 6, 2003) school has produced in a while, though. And the critics love it. Today's review is from The Telegraph...here's an extract from The Hindu...the review in The Deccan Herald which threw The Babu a trifle by describing the book as "an erotic novel"...The Asian Review of Books...The Hindustan Times... the Business Standard....Anita Roy's review in Outlook.
