A rush of Rushdies

Sanjay writes in to say:

"A search on Amazon's British website reveals at least
two upcoming books by Salman Rushdie next year:
'Careless Masters' (Hardcover,Jonathan Cape, September
1, 2005) and 'Parallelville' (Vintage Paperback, April
6, 2006).
Meanwhile, the Arts Telegraph's Literary Life column
of October 26 mentions that Rushdie's new book,
entitled 'Shalimar The Clown', will be published by
Jonathan Cape in autumn 2005.
Three books in one year alone? Talk of walking in the
footsteps of Erle Stanley Gardner..."

Make that four. There's also an entry for The Enchantress of Florence.
I'd have guessed that at least one or two of these books are compilations of his
journalism, except that they're all listed under "fiction". So now I'm confused.
Are there two Salman Rushdies out there? Or is the One of the Fatwa experiencing a sudden burst in creative activity?
